_{No, you didn't misread that and no, I'm not joking. It isn't even April Fools Day.

Several reasons for this:

1) I found a really irksome thing on this site. It really bugged me, but not for the reasons I thought originally. It bugged me because (brace yourself: BRAT ALERT) of the popularity it was getting over one of my more recent pieces. This leads to reason two.
2) I joined this site because I love art and I love looking at art because it inspires me. But lately, it's been more and more about the popularity of the piece than anything else. I need a break to cleanse myself of the evil that is popularity and to remind myself that that isn't why I joined and stayed with this site.
3) I'm getting cracking on my art portfolio for university and I can't really do art if I spend more of my time here searching up art and reading news articles.
4)I just need a break. I never really realized how sucking this site is. It's like an addiction.

I'm sorry for all the art trades and things I promised I'd do. Maybe I'll get around to them on the weekend.

I'm so sorry =HeartsExtraSkip for leaving so soon before your birthday T______T (BTW: I'm so sorry for the people I haven't wished Happy Birthday to yet. I haven't been keeping track of my birthday calendar as well as I should've beeen...) _{Back and so tired I'm just going to give you guys a very quick run-through of my trip:

NY: HOT HOT HOT with thunderstorms (AMAZING!) and so many people, which = pollution like you've never imagined. Still, it had tons of charm. Watched RENT on Broadway!!!

Baltimore: Hot, but beautiful! The inner harbour is like a dream and the aquarium was spectacular!

Washington: Woke up very early in the morning (did not like that...) to drive up to W DC but had tons of fun there. Went to Museum of Natural Science and Museum of Air and Space. Both were super interactive with lots of colour and light and fun. Also went to the zoo

I took one look at the message center and died inside. It's going to take me a month to wade through all this stuff.

I also got inspired to do a lot more work on my art. If I ever want to reach the goal of becoming an animator at Pixar, I'd better get cracking!

School schedules came in - I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I can't for school to start.

FABULOUS FEATURE + Horse Show Update

_{ASDLFKJLKAJSDF I haven't been blown away this much since... well, I can't remember. Check out ~penoza . You'll wonder how you ever made it through deviantArt without discovering him.

I meant to update you guys on the show as soon as it was over, but... I forgot Well, better late than never, right?

In a nutshell, each day got better than the last. It started out ok - nerves got the better of me but Bandit was just like 'it's ok, I'll take care of you' and that he did What an awesome pony.

Friday: the teams of three. We had tooonnnsss of fun!!! Our skit went amazing, but I fell off during the third jump (I can't tell you how disappointed I was) so we couldn't complete the course. On the plus, we got second place for creativity

Saturday was my best day. Hell, I even woke up feeling great. It was just one of those days where no matter what happened, everything fell into place. It was like I dosed myself with Felix Felicitus (the luck potion from Harry Potter). It was that amazing.

Awesome weekend (the photos from the teams of three still haven't come in yet ), got massive sunburns on my shoulders, my pony's having fun rolling in the sand and telling his girlfriend how awesomely he did, and I slept for more than eight hours after. All in all... it was a better weekend than I could've possibly hoped for

HORSE SHOW (teams of three!) + inbox spasm

_{That's right! I'm charging into the SOUTHLANDS SUMMER HUNTER/JUMPER!!! I'm so excited I went last year and had a total blast (besides the one VERY sore spot with my instructor). This year, it'll be even more fun because...

...get ready for it...

I'M ENTERING IN THE TEAMS OF THREE!

For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a wickedly cool and fun class where you and two other team members enter. You have to have a theme (it can be anything from PowerPuff Girls, to Harry Potter, to just plain disco theme, to mystical theme, whatever!) complete with costumes (horses included!), music, skit, and of course, bribes for the judges Then you have to go over a 2'3 course and it's really neat because there are some jumps where you have to jump three abreast, some where one leads and the other two follows, and some where it's one by one. Everybody always makes mistakes and we all pee ourselves laughing.

There are two prizes: $500 for technique, and $500 for creativity (in costumes and stuff). Plus COOLERS! (Do you know how badly I want one?)

So my best friend and another mutual friend of ours and me are doing this crazy event! We're entering under the theme of HARRY POTTER! I'm Harry (since I have black hair and glasses), my best friend is Ron (she has red hair) and my other friend is Hermione (she has brown hair). Bandit's going to be the snitch (unfortunately, he's not a grey so he can't be Hedwig ), Mouse is going to be Scabbers (LOL) and Kody is going to be Crookshanks. I'm SO PSYCHED for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully I'll have pictures the next time I update

I'm really nervous about my jumping though... I had a lesson a couple days ago and Bandit just kept stopping and refusing this one box oxer jump. I fell off three times. Now I'm scared I'll do that again in the ring AND I'm scared of oxers Particularly 2'6 ones. DAMN.

Another one more note... my inbox just SPAZZED. I got over 80 favs today. WHAT the hell?
